Across the vast, open fields and underneath the hidden trees at the arboretum Madabella is a call signaling to my daughters they have wandered too far off the marked path. Madelyn and Isabella just seems too long to say in the midst of being panic stricken because they escaped from my reach yet again. Beckoning them to come back, I call them by name and Madabella it is.
In the pages of Ecclesiastes, I read God makes all things beautiful in His time. All things made beautiful. Made beautiful. Made Bella. Madabella.
Madabella took on a new meaning as I watched God work His awesome wonder around me. Relationships were restored...made beautiful. Purposes were revealed....made beautiful. Colors painted on a canvas...made beautiful. Passion for His Word rekindled...a heart was made beautiful.
The vision of Madabella was realized. This online compendium is the intersection of faith + art reflecting my heart and ministry.
Along the road, you'll read stories of faith made more beautiful as struggles are overcome and battles are won in Christ. Gazing out your window, you'll discover pages of art capture what words cannot express. Searching for signs to mark the path, you'll be lead through pages of scripture to the Way, the Truth and the Life.
When the highway I'm traveling on becomes unfamiliar, I can always stop to hear the faint cry of Jesus in the distance, calling my name, beckoning me back on the path to home...where all things are made beautiful.
Melissa is the voice behind Madabella. After working more than 14 years creating, launching and overseeing educational programs in the nonprofit, entertainment and music industry sectors, she is slowly settling into being a full time stay at home mama to Madelyn, 5 and Isabella, 7. On any given day, you'll find her avoiding the laundry to explore her passion of expressing inexpressible love for her Savior through writing stories, speaking to women or creating art.
