Welcome!
PLANTED begins tomorrow! Prepare to open God’s Word and discover the bounty of His harvest. No matter what season you are in – sowing seeds of faith, being pruned by your Vinedresser, growing deep roots in a time of testing or gathering the ripe fruits of harvest, I pray God will reveal Himself afresh as we study together.
HOW ONLINE STUDY WORKS
Every Monday, I will post the bible study session along with a downloadable study guide for digging further in the Word. Throughout the week I will feature guest writers, challenge you to memorize scripture or share a favorite worship song. If you are a subscriber, posts will be delivered to your inbox or rss feeder. Otherwise, come back and check out the website!
The first bible study session begins tomorrow, February 1st!
CREATING COMMUNITY
One value missed in a personal, individual online study is the interaction and fellowship with other women. I thoroughly enjoy hearing people’s take on scripture or personal stories because it often expands and deepens my own knowledge of the content.
To foster community here, you are invited to share your thoughts, insights and perspectives by commenting posts.
Commenting opens doors for discussion. As other readers see your comments, they can respond, pray or gather new insight. You never know who you “touch” simply by leaving a comment.
Commenting is also an excellent tool for accountability. By setting a goal to interact and engage in the discussion, you will become an active participant. It indirectly forces you to ponder the text, form an opinion about what you have heard and then respond.
Commenting provokes thought, particularly if you are responding by offering a different or opposing viewpoint.
Commenting connects you with other women in the study. The more people that comment, the greater sense of community is created.
Commenting can be anonymous, but always done with love and respect for the writer and other readers!
Commenting is not required!
INVITE OTHERS
If you have a blog, feel free to grab the “PLANTED” button in the sidebar of the website to help spread the word and encourage others to check out the study. All bible studies are archived and can be accessed at anytime.
I’D LOVE TO “MEET” YOU!
If you are participating in the study, click here to comment and tell me a little about yourself.
Thank you for your desire to glean from God’s Word this month!
Hi Melissa, I've commented a bit on your posts but have never introduced myself, so here goes,
I'm Nancy, a mom of 2 grown sons, one married and one recently home again after serving in the USMC. I am married to my best friend (almost 33 years) and we are looking forward to welcoming our 1st grandchild later this year.
I don't remember a time when I didn't believe in Jesus, I must have been a little sponge in the toddler Sunday School class! I'm continuing on the path that the Lord is laying out for me, with just a couple minor stumbles along the way.
I am a blogger of crafty things and like to use that opportunity to share the gospel. I call my little corner of the blogworld Happy Heart Studio.
Thank you for sharing your Biblical insight, I've been challenged and encouraged.
blessings~
