Mixed Media Wall Art
Inspired by vintage letterpress tray made in the 1950's, participants will channel all their creative juices to create a wall art piece with all the best "compartments" of a letterpress tray. Using basic collage and mixed media techiques, we'll paint the tray, layer papers and adorn with found objects, hardware, buttons, trims, vintage wallpaper and more!
The wooden box for the project is designed just like a letterpress tray, with a great layout of niches. It measures 10 3/4" wide, 16 1/4" tall and 1" deep. The niches vary in size from 1"x2" to 2 1/4" x 6 1/4". Click on image to view class sample.

Scissors
