Here's a preview of the project I am doing with the little kids at my daughter's school. The hallowed out book is an old literature textbook. I almost didn't want to show my daughter's teacher and said, "Oh no! You will be mad at me for cutting up an old textbook!" To which she reassured me that if it was for a good reason, I was in the clear!
I think this is a VERY good reason!
